GW JAWLINE SLIMMING & SCULPTING – One Day Course

Jaw release, lifting, reshaping and sculpting for cheeks and jowls.

The masseter muscles in the jaw are the strongest muscles in the body. They are responsible for mastication of food, chewing up steaks, crunching up nuts and munching on celery sticks.

The process of daily eating, along with talking can easily tighten up the masseter jaw muscles causing inflammation, pain, discomfort and swelling.

Many people also clench their jaw muscles when stressed, anxious and tense which can farther exacerbate inflammation and pain.

And some people will also suffer from bruxism, which is grinding of the teeth. This causes damage to teeth and dental work and also pain and inflammation to the jaws.

The inflamed tight muscles become swollen and bulky and the face takes on a square, masculine puffy appearance.

The masseter muscles start to sag and droop pulling down the other muscles and then they become tight and locked up.

The temporomandibular joint (TMJ) is the joint that connects your jaw to your skull. There is a TMJ on each side of your face, in front of each ear. The joints have a complex motion. Many people can also have pain and dysfunction with the jaw joints.

Releasing the tight muscles around the jaw and lower face, clearing excess fluid and waste from locked up muscles and then reshaping and sculpting the face will completely transform the health and appearance of the muscles and face.

Circulation, nerve supply and lymphatic flow are improved and oxygen supply is also increased into muscles which in turn increases nutrient supply.

A slimmer, toned and lifted appearance around the neck, jowls and jawline is immediately visible. Lymphatic drainage clears toxins, lymph and fluid from tight stagnant muscles which further improves the health and appearance of the face. And immediate relief from pain, swelling and inflammation is very much welcomed by the client.

A highly effective combination of Japanese facial massage, jaw release, sculpting and lifting techniques are used in this training course to restore contours of the neck, chin, cheeks and décolleté.

It is important to work with the pressure and comfort level of the techniques with the client. Some clients will be perfectly fine with this treatment and others will require gentler lighter pressure.  It is always a good idea to check in with your client as you apply the techniques.

Japanese Facial massage can have a calming effect on the parasympathetic nervous system, promoting relaxation and stress reduction. The body and mind will release deep seated stress and tension and also reduce visual fatigue by stimulating blood flow and reducing tension in the muscles around the eyes.

Also by releasing tight locked up masseter muscles and muscles around the jawline, circulation, lymph flow and clearing of toxins and waste are increased. The client feels more comfortable and pain free afterwards and deeply relaxed and calm.

The gentle, rhythmic Japanese facial strokes stimulate the parasympathetic nervous system, helping the body enter a "rest and digest" state, which can lower heart rate and cortisol levels (stress hormone).

This, in turn, can improve mood, reduce anxiety, and even help to balance emotions.
