THE TRAINING COURSE
With Notes added by your teacher Anna Glasson the founder of GW Facial Therapy.

Note by Anna:
About our GW Japanese Facial Rejuvenation course...

You will be provided with access to your online Resource Dashboard for 60 days. The course is designed for you to work through the resource videos and viewable PDFs at your own pace. This can work better than a live course for many students because there is less pressure and you can go over all the techniques and PDFs as much as you need to. You can pause and rewind the videos to review a technique to ensure you have it right. And there are two camera angles to view the technique from. There are lots of supporting illustrations and notes too. Some of the resources are downloadable for use as Treatment Reference Sheets. The course is designed for viewing on a PC, Laptop or tablet.

The first 3 videos are Theory and you may find you probably only will need to listen to them once. You also have PDF notes on the theory in a easy to read PDF viewer, which you can read.  This won’t take long.

STEP 4.
Note by Anna:
In Step 4 you will see the Technique videos. The benefits of each technique are explained. The Techniques are learned in groups of five techniques, starting off with effleurage techniques.  Work with the videos while learning and practising, as this is exactly how they are taught in a live class. There are 40 well-proven GW Facial Therapy techniques.

In time you will choose which Techniques you prefer to use. Many are simple and straightforward to learn, but highly effective, delivering great results. As you progress through the Technique Videos, the latter techniques will become more complex.

It’s a great idea to watch the videos several times, so you can master the more complex techniques. This will enable you to become a highly skilled therapist. Remember, practice makes perfect. And Your practice model will love you for this!

We have filmed all the Techniques from 2 camera angles.  They are filmed first of all with the camera showing the right side of the face and then the next section films over the whole face.  We found this was the best way for our students to learn and observe the Techniques. I talk through all the Training Technique Videos in exactly the same way I would in a live class.

STEP 5.
Note by Anna:
Videos of Treatments - The GW Facial Therapy – Japanese Facial Rejuvenation course has 3 videos where I will show you how to do the full GW Facials from start to finish. Two are filmed on a lady model, and the other one is the ManOil8 Facial on our male model.

Each of the three Facials uses slightly different techniques. The forty Techniques that you will learn give you a diverse variety of different techniques to use on clients. As you learn the Techniques and become familiar with them, you will be able to tailor the different Techniques to suit the individual needs of your clients. You will find that you will probably always use some of the same Techniques on your clients in every Facial.

As you learn the Techniques and become confident and proficient in using them, you will find that they flow and blend into each other, resulting in a deeply relaxing, energizing Facial.

The Certificate Process:

Note by Anna: If you require the optional Certification...
1. The Theory Examination will need to be completed. It is easy enough with 20 multiple-choice answers which you can change until you get it right.

2. Before the Fine-Tuning Session with me, to get the best out of the course and make sure you are competent for Certification purposes, I recommend you practice the techniques on family and friends as often as you can.  During this session, we get to meet each other and work at fine-tuning your techniques. I enjoy working with my students and find it a wonderful opportunity for us to meet and get to know each other. My students comment that they find it an enjoyable and an uplifting experience. I will answer any questions and help you fine-tune your techniques needed for your formal Certification.

3. To satisfy regulations around issuance of the GW Certificate, you will also need 12 x one-hour practical treatments on friends, family or clients. You can start this process before or after the fine-tuning session. Make sure you document these treatments and keep their comments for proof of completion, future marketing and insurance purposes.

If you require a Certificate, there is no additional cost for the above.

I do hope you are able to join us, to become a GW Facial Therapist, and I looking forward to meeting and working with you soon.....
